PHOTO VIA MYSOREPALACETN.COMWoodlands Indian Vegetarian Cuisine, the popular vegetarian restaurant that has appeared consistently in the Scene’s Best of Nashville issue, both in readers’ and writers’ picks, has permanently closed its location on West End. The closure happened earlier this year due to construction on the building it occupied. Many of us initially held hope that it was temporary. But as of last week, employees at the building told potential customers that the restaurant would not be reopening there.
But fear not, Woodlands fans. The restaurant’s chef, Madhusoodhan Naik has notified friends and loyal patrons (including local animal rights advocate Tricia Lebkuecher, who shared the news via Facebook) that he will open Mysore Palace in Cool Springs next week. The restaurant is taking over the space at 9040 Carothers Parkway that was formerly occupied by Bombay Bistro. The menu looks to be similar to the one at Woodlands, and the popular lunch buffet will also return. Even better, the website indicates there will also be a dinner buffet (in addition to ordering dinner off the menu).
Mysore Palace is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. this Tuesday, Aug. 1.
