Bra tycoon Michelle Mone has become a vegetarian after watching a documentary slamming animal produce – and has told her followers she hopes to make a difference on her new plight.
The Scottish entrepreneur, 45, who made the decision after watching What The Health on Netflix, invited her 26,000 followers to follow her ‘vegetarian journey’ on Instagram – and shared snaps of her weekly menu.

The menu – which was largely Asian inspired – includes dishes such as Indonesian jungle vegetable curry, Assam Laksa, penang hot and sour soup and Laos style roasted pumpkin, coconut and chilli soup.
Earlier this month Lady Mone admitted she was ‘seriously thinking’ of even becoming vegan – but it seems that was a dietary step too far.
Now she says ‘education on food must be a priority’ and plans to raise it in the House of Lords, tweeting: ‘About to watch Food Inc on Netflix. I feel so passionate about the food we are eating. I need to make a difference @UKHouseofLords.’
But not all followers on Twitter were supportive of her meat-free switch.
Victoria Gates wrote: ‘The vegetarian lifestyle is a difficult thing to balance nutritionally. Silly fad. There are cruelty-free natural ways to balance.’
She even shared a photo of this week’s vegetarian menu, which was largely Asian inspired and included dishes such as Indonesian jungle vegetable curry and Laos style roasted pumpkin, coconut and chilli soup

Earlier this year Lady Mone posted a picture on Twitter of her in a bikini – and said it is the body shape she is trying to recover.
‘Business career is at the highest. I’ve struggled with my weight, now I’m treating my body like a business&set KPI’s. (key performance indicators). I now feel incredible,’ she wrote then.
